Building on my earlier research, I interviewed students, teachers, and community members, observed classrooms, and taught in China. The fieldwork changed how I thought about education and opportunity, and I later brought those experiences into Roots & Reach, a student-led nonprofit helping students find teaching, service, and conservation opportunities.
